Many of you reading this right now already know what a funded proposal is. This page is for those of you who don’t know what it is and for those of you who do and want to get it all set up. You’re in for a nice surprise at the end.

Okay, here is the deal in 4 words: Getting Paid to Prospect

Getting paid to what? Prospect! It’s effective and can help you earn money whether or not the person who is interested in what you have to offer joins your primary company. Even if they don’t join you right away, they just may in the future. It’s a very effective way of doing business.

First you’ll want to start off with lead generation by capturing a person’s name and e-mail address. This is where the word “value” comes in. Offering something of value to a person who wants it. If they want something you have to offer, they will be more than happy to get it from you by allowing you to have their information. This concept of lead generation is done in real time offline too, ever generated leads at a trade show or home party? How about during a casual conversation or networking event?

Value = Lead Generation = Relationship Building = Front End Sales = New Reps in Primary Business

That something of value could be a free report or video series, after they have given you their name and e-mail address. This is a great way to build your list. I know for me personally, I have gotten a LOT of free reports, access to video series and even free software, while looking for ways to figure out all of this internet and network marketing stuff online. I even I have been up sold and ended up purchasing some great training materials as well!

It is a known fact that the people in this industry who want what you have to offer and get it are much better qualified prospects than the average person just looking for a hand out.

So the person buys something from you and you get paid? Yes! Okay, so that same person may even join your company, but even if they don’t, you can still earned money from them when they purchase something they feel is of value from you? Again, YES! That folks is a funded proposal.

Let’s go over this real quick:

1. You get a better qualified prospect on your list as you build your list.
2. You make some money from the sales of individuals on your list.
3. Those prospects might really love what they bought from you and want to come back for more. Even if they don’t join your primary company under you, chances are they will buy something from you.

So what’s the main goal here? To get money flowing in from the beginning, while you are growing your Network Marketing business. Although you can do a lot of things online to market and advertise your business for free, if you really want to build, you have to expose your company to the masses, offline and online.  That requires a monthly budget set aside specifically for the business. This could also mean money for auto-ship until your monthly commissions cover can cover it, travel expenses, paid advertising, extra product to have on hand to sell and marketing materials.

What’s great is that having a funded proposal pre-qualifies the prospects you’ll get, people who understand the industry. People who make purchases from you. People who are willing to invest in themselves. People who are worth your time. Freebies are great, but they also help lead to purchases and then later to the people who want to work with you in your primary company. It’s like sorting people out. Same thing that is done while doing the old style prospecting. Which still works by the way.
